As soon as you enter the French Quarter Mediation Centre the French Provincial style strikes you with a sense of overwhelming peace and tranquility. We offer our carefully designed and configured boardrooms and breakout rooms to parties and their lawyers who engage one of our member barrister, mediators or arbitrators. The Centre is equipped with all the amenities including kitchen facilities, Wi-Fi for full internet connectivity, copy and print facilities and tea, coffee and snacks. We are located above the vibrant and bustling Emerald Lakes cafe district with many deli’s, cafes on our doorstep for your and your clients to enjoy.

 

Mediation

We cater to both large multi-party legally represented mediations and unrepresented parties with warmth and professionalism. With two large boardrooms and breakout rooms available, we can accomodate a variety of mediation needs.

Arbitration

With our large boardroom’s flexible configuration we are perfectly set up to run your next Arbitration. The room is equiped with four movable tables, 16 chairs, AV and digital equipment and easily adapted into a court room setting.

Virtual hearings

Over the past few years the legal profession has learnt to adapt to a changing world. Our large boardroom quickly becomes a virtual courtroom with a large screen for parties to both be virtually seen and heard

 
 

Welcome to the French Quarter Mediation Centre.

When you first enter the Centre you will be greeted by Noelene, the heart and soul of French Quarter Chambers. Her warmth and kindness is the perfect start to what is sometimes a difficult day.

Noelene is currently studying counselling so approaches her role with empathy and compassion. She makes everyone who walks through the door feel at home and she makes a mean cup of tea!

But most importantly, Noelene embodies all that we stand for at French Quarter Chambers and Mediation Centre, a calm environment where we get important work done.

The Bordeaux ROOM

The BORDEAUX ROOM seats 8 and offers a comfortable yet bright space just off the reception area with 3 entry points allowing different parties to break out into private separate rooms. This room offers Wi-Fi, a large whiteboard, telephone conference capabilities and a large screen for AV, online conferencing capabilities and virtual hearings.

THE Marseilles ROOM

The MARSEILLES ROOM offers an impressive 16 seat boardroom with flexible configurations to suit your mediation, conference or arbitration needs. This room offers Wi-Fi, a large whiteboard, telephone conference capabilities and a large screen for AV, online conferencing capabilities and virtual hearings.

FEES

Half Day Hire: $300 + GST

4 hours - Morning or Afternoon

One boardrooms and two break out rooms

Full Day Hire: $400 + GST

8 hours (9.00am – 5.00pm)

 Frequently Asked Questions

Do you rent to external non-member barristers, mediators and/or arbitrators?

Unfortunately, we do not have capacity to take external bookings as our 11 in house barristers, mediators and arbitrators keep our Centre very busy. If you have a preference for our Centre, phone Noelene to see which of our barristers, mediators or arbitrators can assist you.

Do you have a current Covid Policy?

Yes, we are currently accommodating both fully vaccinated and unvaccinated attendees only at French Quarter Mediation Centre. We would kindly ask that you do not attend if you are suffering from any cold and flu like symptoms. For those unable to attend in person, all member barristers, mediators and arbitrators can accommodate your virtual attendance.

What are your terms of service?

Room Fees quoted are for hire of the specified space for the specified time allocation. Where mediations continue past the booked time, an additional discretionary fee of $100 per hour or part thereof + GST may be charged.

Access to WiFi is available in all rooms. The photocopier/printer is available to copy or print mediation agreements etc.  Please note, excessive copying/printing may attract an additional fee. The hire of our facilities does not include the provision of secretarial services.

What is the booking & cancellation policy?

Bookings will not be considered confirmed where the relevant fee has not been paid within 3 days after the booking request.  No refunds will be given for bookings cancelled less than 7 days prior to the day.
